Basic knowledge about climate change

Basic knowledge to know about Climate change Our Earth is warming.  Earth's average temperature has risen by 1.5°F over the past century, and is projected to rise another 0.5 to 8.6°F over the next hundred years. Small changes in the average temperature of the planet can translate to large and potentially dangerous shifts in climate and weather. The evidence is clear.  Rising global temperatures have been accompanied by changes in weather and climate. Many places have seen changes in rainfall, resulting in more floods, droughts, or intense rain, as well as more frequent and severe heat waves. The planet's oceans and glaciers have also experienced some big changes  –  oceans are warming and becoming more acidic, ice caps are melting, and sea levels are rising. As these and other changes become more pronounced in the coming decades, they will likely present challenges to our society and our environment. How are humans responsible for recent climate change. Over t...

Effects of climate change

Image
Climate change is both  global warming caused by human emissions of greenhouse gases, and the resulting changes in weather patterns. These climatic changes are having  impacts on the ecosystem  and ecology. Due to these changes, a number of species of plants and animals have gone extinct.

What is Climate Change? Climate change means that, there is a change in the climate that, either you don’t recognise it, or either the climate change is very harmful for older and younger people.  2.Who should we blame for climate change?  We should blame us for the climate change. Because, we humans waste water within a few SECONDS. Now, you tell m...

Impacts of climate change

Impacts of climate change Climate change has occurred all because of us the global warming rate has increased.   The  global  annual  temperature  has increased at an average  rate  of 0.08°C (0.14°F) per decade since 1880 and  over  twice that  rate  (+0.18°C / +0.32°F) since 1981. Climate change  is having serious  impacts  on the world's water systems through more flooding and droughts. Warmer air can hold a higher water content, which makes rainfall patterns more extreme. Rivers and lakes supply drinking water for people and animals and are a vital resource for farming and industry. Climate change  may aggravate erosion, decline in organic matter, salinisation, soil biodiversity loss, landslides, desertification and flooding.  rising maximum temperatures. rising minimum temperatures. rising sea levels. higher ocean temperatures. an increase in heavy precipitation (heavy rain and hail) shrinkin...

What is climate change

Image
What is climate change Basically, climate change  is a change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. What should we do to stop climate change 1. Make Your Commute Green-Millions of people drive to work every day. It is simply unavoidable in our modern-day society. However, the downside to this is that millions of cars emit greenhouse gases that destroy our atmosphere. 2. Be More Conservative with Energy Usage-Becoming more energy efficient is a great way to prevent pollution. It causes the power plants to expend less energy that can lead to the production of greenhouse gasses. This means that you should do what you can to cut down on energy usage in your household. Make sure to turn off lights and unplug devices that you are not using anymore when you are done with them 3. Get Active and V...
